Grooming Terms and Conditions
1. Medical Condition
Your pet’s safety comes first. To ensure the well-being of your dog, it is essential that you share your dog’s complete health conditions, previous injuries, and recent surgery, if there’s any, upon drop off so that we can customize the process to accommodate your dog’s needs.
The dog’s owner agrees not to hold Dazzling Paws Dog Grooming responsible for any pre-existing health problems that your dog may have and agrees that you are responsible for any pre-existing medical conditions that are discovered during the grooming process.
In case of a medical emergency that is related to pre-existing health conditions and other emergency, the dog’s owner authorizes Dazzling Paws Dog Grooming staff to bring their dog to the nearest veterinary hospital for urgent care. We’ll call you right away about your dog’s condition.
2. Senior Dogs
Grooming of elderly dogs can be challenging at times due to age-related issues. To ensure a smooth and safe grooming process and to personalize our approach according to your dog’s specific needs, please share any pre-existing medical conditions and behavioral issues upon drop-off.
3. Cancellation and No-show $65 cancellation fee per dog
We understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise that prevent us from attending our appointment. However, we appreciate at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
Failure to turn up without prior notice results in a charge of $65 per dog to cover revenue loss due to the cancelled booking, to be added to your next appointment.
Our booking space is reserved exclusively for your scheduled time. Any last-minute cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours or less prevent us from booking other customers.
As a small business, we can only book a limited number of dogs, thus, cancellations or no show have a great impact on us financially.
4. Dogs that had recent surgery
To ensure that your dog is fully recovered from the surgery and safe for grooming, we advise asking your veterinarian for their recommendation on when the best time to groom them. However, we may decide to extend a grooming rest period if we suspect a risk to a recent procedure or health condition.
5. Matting
To prevent unnecessary stress to your pets during grooming. Please note that we don’t do TRIM ONLY on very matted dogs because it needs to be cut very short, or on occasion, shaved in severe cases. Depending on the type of mats, for mats that cover large areas and solid dreadlocks, such as those that appear irreversible, they need to be cut short or shaved. For minimal or a few small, loose, and soft mats, and if we believe it’ll not cause unnecessary stress to your dog, we’ll try to remove them at an additional cost.
We’ll assess your dog’s coat to determine the extent of the mats and discuss the haircut with you in detail.
6. Right to refuse
Some dogs are not good or cooperative with grooming.
Kindly inform us upon arrival if they have behavioural problems such as biting intentionally without reason, a history of biting during grooming, or aggressiveness toward people and other dogs.
We’ll assess your dog to see if we can handle them upon arrival and during the grooming process.
If we believe your dog is putting himself, the grooming staff, and other dogs at risk, we’ll cancel their grooming and call to collect them. We’ll charge you based on the time we spent and the amount of grooming that has been done.
7. Vaccination policy
To provide a safe environment for your pets, we require that all dogs, especially puppies, be fully vaccinated, which includes Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella bronchiseptica, at least a week before grooming.
8. Flea-infested dogs
We want to make sure that our shop is free from fleas to prevent spreading to other dogs. To do that, we use flea treatment shampoo right away if we find fleas on your dogs. You agree that this would be an additional cost.
